CEDC Activities

The CEDC is a leader in coordinating and facilitating regional networks that implement the comprehensive economic development strategy, promote emerging industry clusters, and support business and job growth.

The CEDC meets six times annually to conduct administrative business of the Board, monitor the progress of economic development activities in the region, provide guidance for emerging programs and initiatives, and share the successes and challenges of member organizations.

Meetings of the Board

At each Board meeting, guest speakers give short presentations on economic development matters of regional interest.  At the October 18th meeting of the Board, we heard from:

Dale Hill, CEO form Mobile Energy Solutions, a cutting edge manufacturing firm that is looking at Stanly County for a possible manufacturing site.
