Regional Projects

Our original No Boundaries report from 2004 identified several priorities for our regional vision fo economic development. This report gave way to our develoment of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

Regional Priorities :

• Incorporate advanced manufacturing in all business sectors that can adopt it.
• Expand research and development by focusing on the motor sports and optoelectrics industries.
• Improve the region’s workforce preparedness through programs in literacy and basic skills development.
• Promote the region’s tourism assets through a well-funded, cooperative effort.
• Enhance the distribution network for the region and investigate the feasibility of a multi-modal site at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
• Develop a regional grants team.
